Dr. Chaney is a licensed psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological, psychological, and psychoeducational assessments. She assesses cognitive performance and achievement aptitude to provide insights into a patient’s daily functioning in the home, work, and school. Assessments are available across the life span, starting with children as young as age seven. Dr. Chaney works collaboratively with the patient and their family to help maximize strengths and remediate areas of weakness.
Dr. Chaney’s clinical practice focuses on assisting adults to overcome depression and anxiety by implementing evidence-based programs that target the patient’s specific issue. Treatments include Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
Dr. Chaney earned a B.A. in Communication Studies and Psychology from Eastern Washington University. She also earned an M.Ed. in Adult education and a K-12 Teaching Certificate from Eastern Washington University. Her doctorate was obtained at Argosy University, Phoenix, AZ, and she completed an APA accredited neuropsychology internship with the Veterans Administration in Fayetteville, AR. Her post-doctoral work consisted of two years of neuropsychological training in an APPIC approved private practice. Dr. Chaney received additional therapy training through Southwest Behavioral Health and neuropsychological training at Trilogy Integrative Services and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
